About the Paldea region

Paldea is the ninth region and the first fully open-world main-series setting, based on the Iberian Peninsula of Spain and Portugal. You are a student at a big academy, and the map is yours to explore in any order across three storylines: the Gym challenge, the Titan hunt, and the takedown of Team Star, all meeting at the mysterious Area Zero crater.

Generation 9 introduced Terastallization, the crystal gimmick that can change a Pokémon's type mid-battle, along with the ancient and future Paradox Pokémon. Between Scarlet, Violet and their two-part DLC it added 120 new species. This generator rolls only those Gen 9 Pokémon, #906 Sprigatito through #1025 Pecharunt.

  • StartersSprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly
  • Box LegendsKoraidon and Miraidon

Paldea starters and iconic Pokémon

The Paldea starters are Sprigatito (Grass), Fuecoco (Fire) and Quaxly (Water). Fuecoco into Skeledirge is the fan-favourite carry, a bulky Fire and Ghost croc with the excellent Torch Song. Quaxly into Quaquaval is a flashy Water and Fighting dancer, and Sprigatito into Meowscarada is the speedy Grass and Dark magician with a guaranteed-crit signature move.

Paldea's roster is loaded with instant classics: Gholdengo the coin ghost, Ceruledge and Armarouge, Tinkaton the hammer fairy, Annihilape, Kingambit, the pseudo-legendary Baxcalibur, plus the meme-beloved Bellibolt. Roll six for a fresh, modern team.

Paldea legendary Pokémon

Paldea's legendaries are the ride-along box legends Koraidon and Miraidon; the Treasures of Ruin, Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu and Chi-Yu; and the many Paradox Pokémon, the ancient and future versions of familiar species. The DLC added Ogerpon, Terapagos and the mythical Pecharunt.

Because Paldea has so many legendaries and Paradox Pokémon, the default pool of 88 regular Pokémon is smaller than the 120 total. Flip on Legendaries to add Koraidon, Miraidon, the Treasures of Ruin and the Paradox Pokémon, or set a shiny mode in Advanced filters.

How to use the Paldea Pokémon generator

The pool is already locked to the 120 Paldea Pokémon, so you can dive straight in:

  1. Pick a quantity. One for a single pick, or six for a full Paldea team (the default).
  2. Filter if you want. Choose a single type, or turn on Legendaries and Fully Evolved. Advanced filters add evolution stage, shiny odds, special forms and a unique-types spread.
  3. Press Generate. Your Paldea Pokémon appear with artwork, types, stats and abilities. Re-roll any single slot you want to swap.
  4. Share or save. "Share team" copies a link that reopens with the exact same team, and any shiny you roll saves to your collection.
